Part of the So Many Styles, So Many Symphonies Series. The Architecture of Sound is a Digital Collage that celebrates minimal musical styles and compositions. Minimal styles span various genres including the contemporary classical forms of composers such as Phillip Glass, Micheal Nyman and Steven Reich, reaching through electronica via the ambient works of Brian Eno and Mike Oldfield, into minimal techno acts such as Bonobo and La Fleur. Minimal musical compositions are marked by luminous points of sound and subtle variations in repitition which underpin elegant sonic structures. Through carefully considered constellations of musical interaction, these works demonstrate the rich emotive musicality that is invoked through paying careful attention to the individual elements of a composition, and how they are finely altered by their relationships to one another.
I was delighted to recently receive a lovely message from the poet and photographer @curiositykilledthecatri inviting me to respond to some of her words.
Her prompt was:
"Let's come together
In chorus, together"
It was lovely to get a prompt to make something related to Music and its also given me some ideas for a new series which will be arriving soon. So a great big thanks thanks Catri !
